Addressing Accusations and Prioritizing Fair Elections

In response to the allegations made by the major political parties in Pakistan i.e. Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan Anwaarul Haq Kakar responded that in the political history of Pakistan, “victim card” has often been played by the competing political parties and it would not make any difference this time. Caretaker Prime Minister, in a program “Jirga” on geo news, stated that it is his prime responsibility to conduct elections in a fair and transparent manner and let people give the opportunity to democratically choose their representatives and lawmakers in the national and provincial assemblies of Pakistan.

Clarifying Legal Actions and Dismissing Bias Allegations

Responding to allegations against his caretaker setup, Prime Minister of Pakistan Anwaarul Haq Kakar dismissed the allegations of bias outrightly, stating to exhibit any preferential treatment of the political parties. Kakar explicitly stated that the arrest of PTI Chief and Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Ahmad Khan Niazi was completely lawful and within the parameters laid down by the manual, hence showing complete disregard for allegations of prejudice. Anwaarul Haq Kakar also undertook to completely adhere to legal proceedings against Khan in a just and transparent manner.

Ensuring Safety and Denying Threats

Prime Minister Kakar assured that social media posts indicating dangers faced by Mr. Imran Ahmad Khan Niazi would be addressed stating those remarks were unnecessary and uncalled for. However, Anwaarul Haq Kakar dismissed these allegations and clarified that PTI Chairman was safely behind bars, ruling out any ill feelings from his side. Kakar stressed that the caretaker government has remained neutral and followed the principle of justice or the rule of law since Imran Khan was taken into police custody. Kakar’s statements were meant to address speculations that he could have had biases while handling the politics within the institution.

Commitment to Impartial Elections and Criticism Response

Amid severe public criticism over remarks about Imran Khan’s possible exclusion from the forthcoming elections, Kakar strongly stood by his commitment to transparent, free, and fair elections. Kakar also emphasized that all elections would be open and there would be no bias towards any political party. The statement implied absolute impartiality in organizing and conducting forthcoming elections. The remarks by Kakar eased the fears being voiced regarding this so-called marginalization of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. The statement by the Caretaker PM helped reduce the fears, as well as emphasized on the transparency and fairness standards of the electoral system of the country.

UK Visit and Clarity on Imran Khan’s Participation

During his stay in the UK, Kakar addressed questions on whether the Former Prime Minister Imran Khan would participate in coming elections. He stressed the judicial character of this matter where every aspect is done based on the rule of law. The caretaker prime minister in an interview with TRT World stressed the right for peace protests but warned against anything like acts of vandalism. Moreover, Kakar reinforced the government’s unflinching resolve to protect the political liberties of political groups and ensure conditions for a serene protest. He also emphasized the role of international indicators and observers in verifying the constitutionality of the democracy supported by the government. Moreover, when asked questions about the US conspiracy on Imran’s ouster Kakar denied the theory and explained that it is a story intended for mass consumption.

Oxford Union Address: Balancing Accountability and Fair Treatment

During an Oxford Union speech, PM Kakar answered the queries on Imran Khan’s arrest as well as those involving the PTI workers. He made it clear that everyone who was accused, including members of PTI, needed to face justice according to the law without exception. Kakar defended the government’s dedication to holding the elections fair enough while arguing that PTI is not playing parliamentary politics. In response to misconceptions about his statements in a related Associated Press interview, Prime Minister Kakar’s office further emphasized that free and fair elections might still occur without the participation of Khan or any other party involved in illegalities. The law prevailed over personal vengeance, as had been promised, and proof of non-politicism.

Finally, the Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar’s responses are meant to clear doubts, explain the government’s position, and highlight the quest for free and credible polls. All the principles highlighted by the caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan Anwaarul Haq Kakar could be clearly seen as and when elections are conducted, but opponent parties such as PTI and PPP are still stricken to their allegations of non-provision of level playing fields for all parties except the Pakistan Muslim League (N).
